Three lucky respondents to the CPM/Adama barley disease survey have each won a pair of tickets to the Aviva Premiership Rugby Final in May 2018.
They responded to the survey and completed the tie-breaker question on ramularia control strategies with the replies deemed best by the judging panel. Richard Dungait, from Northumberland, opted to “treat [ramularia] like Newcastle Falcons – know that it’s there and could possibly be a big threat if the gods allow.” Mike Gothard from Devon chose to “add a multi-site, such as Phoenix, at T2 in wet cool weather”, while in Shrops, Rory Lay would “defend hard to stop ramularia scoring a try, so I can win the game.”
The aim of the survey was to find out growers’ perceptions of barley diseases and their fungicide strategies for tackling them. To take part in the next survey, make sure we have the correct details for you by emailing angus@cpm-magazine.co.uk
