Following the ongoing uncertainties surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, the previously postponed 2021 LAMMA Show has now been cancelled. Charlotte Cunningham reports.
Organisers announced last year that the event would move to May 2021, instead of its usual January slot at the NEC, however, in light of the continued impact of COVID-19, the decision has been made to cancel until 2022.
“As you can all imagine, this decision has not been an easy one to make as we fully understand how key the show is to the entire industry and how keen we all were to make it happen in May,” said event manager, Kate Walsh.
“However, the safety of our visitors and exhibitors is of top priority, and after listening to and sharing the concerns of all our stakeholders and being fully appreciative of all the associated planning and work that goes into getting ready for a show like this, a decision had to be made.”
The LAMMA Show is set to return on 11-12 January 2022 at the NEC, Birmingham, with organisers promising an “epic” show. “I think we’ll all agree that LAMMA 2022 will be an epic show, with the industry keen do business and catch up with colleagues and friends in person. We would again like to thank all our exhibitors and visitors for the amazing support we’ve received throughout the year.”
