An EAMU application for Lambdastar (lambda-cyhalothrin) use on spring linseed has been given approval by the Chemicals Regulation Division (CRD).
The contact insecticide from Life Scientific can be used to target flax flea beetle in the crop. Premium Crops’ company agronomist Hannah Foxall says the approval increases the range of products containing the active which are available to growers, while broadening the spectrum of insecticides to reduce the risk of resistance.
Pyrethroid insecticide
Lambdastar is a contact and ingested pyrethroid insecticide for control of a wide range of pests in wheat, barley, oats, oilseed rape, peas, beans, potatoes, sugar beet, carrots, parsnips, brassica and pear crops.
The EAMU approval of is the latest success from Premium Crops’ ongoing investment in the evaluation of new and existing plant protection products for use on minor crops such as linseed and canary seed.
