Trimble Agriculture will be unveiling pioneering precision farming software at the Cereals Event, with the AutoSync feature – seamlessly transferring information between tractors and smart devices. CPM reports.
AutoSync automatically syncs guidance lines, field names, boundaries, landmarks and operator information, giving real-time information across computers, phones and Trimble displays using the Precision-IQ field application. “It is a really exciting feature which will make farm management and record-keeping even easier,” explains Andrew Williams, product manager at Trimble dealer, Vantage England and Wales. “We are among the first in the UK to deploy this technology – and because Trimble is brand-agnostic, you can use its screens in any tractor make, across your entire fleet.”
The new functionality automatically collects and manages data from in-field activities and syncs it via the cloud, reducing human error and eliminating the need to manually share data via USB, improving overall farm record integrity.
Farmer Core software package
The firm is also launching its new entry-level software package at Cereals. Farmer Core is a simple way for farmers to connect all aspects of their farm operation, while also making use of the new AutoSync feature. “Available online and on any mobile device, Farmer Core is a powerful yet affordable software service that integrates data from precision farm machinery displays to simplify farm setup and streamline farm operations.”
Higher level software subscriptions – Farmer Fit and Farmer Pro – are available, offering additional functionality for mobile, field record-keeping and mapping. AutoSync is also included with these subscriptions.
Liquid ISOBUS control
Completing a trio of UK launches is Trimble’s new Field-IQ ISOBUS ECU, which can be seen at Cereals for the first time. “The ECU can be used on any implement applying liquids, and can be retrofitted to almost any sprayer, enabling section control, variable rate control and general sprayer management,” explains Mr Williams. “This gives you more control over multiple rates and sections, adds value to your existing equipment and offers greater freedom in adding new equipment in the future.”
